Original Item: Only One available. This is a very good condition Flight Branch Luftwaffe EM/NCO Visor Cap, in size 55 1/2. It no longer has the celluloid diamond on the top of the cap, but the original makers mark on the top is still faintly visible:

Gebrüder Alm (Alm Brothers) was a Uniform and Hat factory located on Kreuzbergstrasse in South West Berlin. We have seen many other caps from the Pre-War period by this maker, particularly Luftwaffe caps. There is also a 6 . 1 . 36 date stamped to the upper left of the maker mark.
This is a wonderful honest example with a fantastic shape. It still has the original crown stiffener installed, so it retains it's original round appearance, without the "sag" usually seen. This very good wartime NCO Schirmmütze Visor Cap is a high quality manufactured visor. It is fabricated in Luftwaffe blue gray Fliegerblau (Flier's Blue) wool gabardine, with wide black wool cap band, plus three rows of goldgelb (Gold-Yellow) color piping for the flight branch (Waffenfarbe) around the circumference. This included Aviator troops such as pilots and ground personnel as well as Fallschirmjäger (parachute troops).
The peak visor cap retains an excellent, high quality, aluminum pin Luftwaffe eagle with swas as well as centrally mounted aluminum oak leaves with tri-color cockade. Chin strap and buttons are still present and in very good condition, withy no splitting in the chin strap, which has an excellent finish. The visor is a classic vulcanfibre construction, gloss pattern with the usual age crazing and degrading. It has a vinyl border, which is somewhat worn.
The body with its gold-yellow piping is in excellent shape. The size 55 1/2 cap is lined with light brown canvas, though the celluloid moisture shield is completely missing. There is also some wear through the lining in places, as shown. The leather sweatband is fully intact, and in very good shape, with no deterioration we can see.
This is an excellent totally honest Luftwaffe NCO peaked visor cap offered with a beautiful shape and look. Hard to find a better one!
